Discussion boards are not the best place to share large files. If you need to, please be patient for this. There are a number of factors that can effect uploading assignments (eg internet connection and assignment size). It's likely your assignment is being uploaded but is just taking a long time. Look for a percentage indicator at the bottom of some browsers (1%, 2%, 3%, etc...)
Sometimes you may need to copy and paste your document contents if possible.
